2022.01.23 09:21 Steelsong97 Unpopular opinion: We should take out the Hodl of the Buy, hodl, drs motto
I propose the elimination of saying hodling when we refer to the stock. Hodling isnt enough. Hodling wont cause moass. Only buying and drsing will cause effect on price, if you are only buying and hodling you are potentially damaging the cause cuz it can produce more synthethic short shares.
Therefor I suggest we completly eliminate and stop giving the impression that buying and hodling is enough cuz the rest is going to do the job for you.
Buy and hodl isnt enough.
Buy and DRS is the WAY.

2022.01.23 09:21 Spodo_Komodo_ What elements of stoicism would you struggle with the most?
I'm quite new and have a lot to learn, but for me, I somewhat struggle with no event being good or bad, only our judgement of them.
I agree with it in a broad sense - something like a break up or not getting a job can feel bad initially but they also present new opportunities.
Is it supposed to apply to extreme cases though? For example, I can't really see something like child abuse as anything other than horrific.
I'm probably misinterpreting it, or maybe there are just exceptions?
Anyway, are there points of stoicism you struggle with or don't necessarily agree with? If so, why?
Thanks for reading.

2022.01.23 09:21 Aggressive_Ad_5959 A Night Of Love And Blood
It was going to be a dreadful evening. They were going away from the sunset, which was filled with low-hanging clouds of safety. It was supposed to be a cloudless night. Richard double-checked his inventory. Holy emblems, elixirs, and silver bullets He double-checked his greaves and gauntlets. He knelt near his dear Elizabeth's bed as he turned to begin the night's job. She had been sick for a few weeks. She was feeling better, but she would remain bedridden for the time being.
He kissed her lightly before turning away. He stared up at the sky as he locked the door behind him. In the dimming sky, the full moon gleamed low and red. It had exactly the right amount of brightness to beam through the glass. When he heard the first howl of the night, he mentally prepared to fight for the light. It jolted him to his core. He wiped the sweat from his brow and shifted his gaze to the door he had just shut.
He gazed into the dark house through the door's window. The sound of crashing could be heard from Elizabeth's chamber. He was unable to move. The memories resurfaced. She had stated that she was cleaning up her moon blood. After that, she appeared to be in good shape. Her skin seemed ruddier than usual, but that was due to the fever, right? Her hair had become coarse due to her inability to wash it, therefore it had to be more matted? Like an icicle trickling down his back, the realisation hit in. He should've known better. His revolver was in his left hand, and his finger was on the trigger. It trembled a little.
He tried to take his willpower, but it didn't work. He shook even more than before. From the street, a hand gently rested on his shoulder. Richard wheeled with his revolver raised, pausing only when he looked down on his godless mother-in-law. With the same perplexed expression on her face, she looked at him. She inquired as to whether her daughter had changed her mind. As he nodded, his throat tightened. She then inquired as to if he was finally ready to listen in a different way. He nodded once more before carefully lowering the rifle.
Richard slid the door open cautiously. The smashing and scratching became louder as the sound that had been contained by the wood was now free to travel. He entered their bedroom along the familiar hallway. The wolf was wearing the shredded remnants of his wife's nightgown when the door slammed shut. At the sight, he unintentionally jumped back. The wolf hissed and moved closer to it. He couldn't move forward at all, but he could kneel. He got down on one knee and beckoned to her.
The wolf appeared perplexed by the response. It snarled, exposing its huge teeth. Richard whispered her name, "Elizabeth." He begged her to listen to him. I pleaded with her to remember who she was and what she stood for. She took timid steps forward, as if she didn't know what to do. She inhaled deeply from his extending hand. "I absolutely love you." He muttered something.
She collapsed on the ground, her front paw firmly grasping him. She screamed in agony and rage. Slowly, painfully, her face began to revert to a human appearance. Her paw shrank, and the fur that covered her body began to fall out in clumps. Her body gradually returned to normal over the next ten minutes. He drew her close as she shuddered. She sobbed onto his shoulder in gasps, enormous heaving breaths. She murmured something in between shudders. "What was that, my dear?". Richard inquired.
"I'm very sorry," Elizabeth said again as she drew back slightly. She then raised the revolver that had previously been Richard's and fired a single shot into his chest.
He collapsed to the ground, gasping for air. With tears in her eyes, Elizabeth stood over him. "I apologise, Richard, but we need to eat." You've given me a wonderful present. Unlike my immature brethren, I can now change back at will, just like my mother did before me. Only real love has the power to transform a wolf into a human for the first time. If only you could see instead of relying on your faith blindly." He noticed his mother-in-law approaching him and taking his wife's hand. His eyes grew dark, and the last thing he heard was a wolf's howl.

2022.01.23 09:21 CuriousVeryBiCurious Looking for a great documentary series on Aussie cities
Looking to pass the time in this very boring year. Usually we watch a show while we eat dinner but it seems like I've watched everything on Netflix already.
I randomly turned on the TV the other day and saw a show called Griff's Great Australia Rail Trip. It was very interesting and I thought I'd love to watch other similar documentary series that does 1 episode on a few Aussie cities.
I know there is Great Australian Railway Journeys but do you guys have any other suggestions? It doesn't have to be a Railway Journey either, can be a documentary.
I've come across
